Wow, you have much wisdom my friend. I can't pretend I understood much of it until the last three. My answers are thus:
1. Though a close friend did not perish in 9/11 (as far as I know...but I have a 9/11 story that ties into my own development and life as I've come to see it since) It was bad, until it got good. Thank God for this, He is the key to understanding the events in my life centered around 9/11
2. I believe in a parellel universe where I'm content and at peace, and yes very, very HAPPY! Hope and Faith are what get me through when I feel like I'll never make it there.
3. Growth is achieved when I reflect on my life, my past and why things happened the way they did. It's not always easy and it can be downright nasty and hellish to face "what could have been?" if I had done it differently, but I didn't know what God was trying to teach me all along and even then. I just felt sorry for myself afterwards and blamed everyone else for keeping me miserable. Yes, some people in life will hate you, envy you and curse you. They are miserable themselves, and often, if we are brave enough to admit it, we have thought of others the same way, though not acted on it. But if one of those people later sees how they hurt you, because the karma catches up to them, and they contact you out of the blue...It can be a sign that they have moved on from that place of pain and have forgiven you or recognized you for the part you played in their life, either for good or bad. We learn from both, but sadly, we human beings seem to learn more effectively from the bad things that happen. Still, God in His undying Love, works even these things for the good for those whom He loves.
