A little enigmatic, without further exegesis, for my feeble brain, but at least I can appreciate the beautiful calligraphy,Latin and internal rhymes. Are you an admirer of the Metaphysical Poets,by any chance ?

I suppose that I am. Whenever I read, I expect to be enlightened by references to other novels and books. The exposure I've received to alchemy, or masonic lit, have been through The chymical wedding, Foucault's pendulum, Seventh seal and 40 year old virgin. Although I may be wrong about 40 yr old, I recall a diminutive reference to "pussy on the pedestal", plus an ending (during the credits) where the entire cast single-filed-ly traipes along the skyline. This has already been done with the ending to the Ingmar Bergman film, The seventh seal. Incidentally, my brother–in–law is trying to advise me with positive thought as he reworded a perfect analysis of my thought process as placing 'women' on a pedestal. It was enough to get me laughing. He mentioned too, Ana Garcia having visited his offices not long ago. "Wow! You got my attention, sir." </p>

Thanks for trying to understand my disturbed mind. The poem is about a first love, the one you never forget. I wanted to describe the years that have gone by without there being a single day that I don't think of her. Now that I don't know what she looks like anymore, I've managed to get in touch by phone, and learned of her 14 year marriage.
