Maidenhair fern

You know those gigantic bottles of cranberry joice sold at costco which don't fit inside the refrigerator without exerting a bit of force?

I found a great use for them. I've been waiting for the proper time to plant fern spores. It takes awhile for them to germinate (3 months approx). I have a small little pot that I managed to stuff inside the empty bottle, like a ship inside a glass bottle. This would function to maintain the humid atmosphere this plant requires to grow.

As you can see from the picture, I've got some babies coming in already. How cute.

Wow that's a great idea! Recyclable mini greenhouses.
What will you do with those plants once they're big enough to transplant?

That little car port in the background where I park my motorcycle on rainy days is where I think it will thrive. I'd doesn't get direct sunlight, but it gets considerable heat from the fiberglass overhang.
