Realm of heat
slavezombie
(click for illustration)      I have a Zonker complex. Earlier I was imagining the nice green foliage of a potted indoor palm asking me how the weather was in my realm. Plants love this humidity, but it makes me wilt. I was driving around with my cool air conditioner around mid-day and made a few stops for supplies. First I picked up some cat food, and NO, that's not what I eat for a balanced diet. Then I went to Melrose to look for Foot Locker. I think they either relocated or closed down. The building where they use to be is empty.
I wanted to go Tom Bergens for lunch, but I was dressed a bit too casual. Shorts and a muscle shirt (not that I have any muscles, but the last time I called this a tank, a co-worker corrected me). Either she thinks I have enough muscles to wear a muscle shirt, or tanks are stricktly feminine, no uni-sex here. Melrose was my last stop, so I decide to drive down Sunset on my way back. I stop at Guitar Center and ask about the pedals. I wanted some idea of how a wammy bar pedal sounds. They're so nice there, I was given a set of headphones and a guitar to play around. Upon hearing some of the musicians testing out guitars/speakers, without headphones, I felt real, real don't-know-what-I'm-doing here. Is this how you hold a guitar? I wish I could play half as good.
I bought myself new shoes. Unfortunately, they're the wrong color. I want black, but I got tan. I'm not color blind. I just couldn't make up my mind. I have the rest of the day to sloth around and read. Just when I thought I'd never find another novel with a twisted storyline, I find a copy of one of Vladimir Nabokov's honorable mentions. I really can't write sex scenes myself and I'm hoping this book will give me confidence to tackle sensuality between two heterosexual, same-generation, partners. The reason I relate so well with Lolita is because… well. Wait until the screenplay is complete and then ask if you may read it. I may say yes.

I am so valley, I've never even heard of Tom Bergens. What is it and why were you under-dressed for it?

This Irish pub was established in 1936.
Seriously, its on Fairfax and I passed it on my way to the beach one night at about 12:30a. I said to myself, those Irish really know how to start the day with a nice warm cup of Irish Coffee (too bad they don't open for breakfast.); so I made a note to drop in on them some time in hopes of possibly crossing paths with someone I use to know who loved the stuff. That never came to pass and the only time I did drop in was to take a leak. There's still hope yet. I'd love company.

I remember that test like it was 1994, or '93. Hmn? No, it's not hard. What's hard is scoring high enough to get the interviews over the people who just barely pass the exam. Otherwise, you end up waiting and waiting, until your passing status expires and the test must be retaken.
The other day, somebody at work mentioned that something in the area of a question put upon a librarian about a website. I almost freaked thinking that I had something to do with it. So, let this be my disclaimer as I am not at all familiar with paralegal stuff.
I am not affiliated with the "personnel dept." of the city of L.A.
There. I feel much better. Lotsa luck, baby.
