Stuck for dialog for my next multi-panel cartoon. Visualize modern woman shaking some sense into an elderly man/woman. If it was up to me, and it is, I would just do a caption reading, "what were you thinking when you handed down such a legacy riddled economic French fry?"

There is no real point to what's going on here other than the elderly person being shaken by the shoulders.

Next panel: line formation at a deli.

Final panel, exterior view of same deli with passersby. One is a woman with infant, another is a male pedestrian just walking.

I could ready use the stuff from sites like overheard in NY. Hmm, wish I had a link to that right now.

Aw jeez, and I met an English guy today who I'm certain would've known the answer to this. I think chips, in the US are like the bagged ruffles potato chip, or pringles, also Lays. Some restaurants that serve fish n chips do indeed serve the chips as French fries. As far as the French, I haven't the foggiest idea. Although it sounds about right.
