How Flies Escape Looming Predators and hyperspace

High speed camera shows two escape modes when a fly feels threatened. The slowest of the two allows the fly to gracefully take flight, but the quicker escape, more of a jump and soar technique, limits the fly's flight path to possible aerodynamics caused by threat.
